Cultural Vistas (formerly CDS), affiliated with U-M’s Germanic Languages Department, offers summer internships in Germany in most fields, open to UM
students who have good German skills; no citizenship restrictions—apply by Dec. 1.
Three programs suitable
for students who are graduating (the Congress-Bundestag program is also
available to current students) have deadlines of Thursday, Dec. 1 and
Friday, December 2nd (for JET)

Are you
graduating, or a current student who would like to spend a year in
Germany doing both study and an internship? Then consider the
Cultural Vistas (formerly CDS) Congress-Bundestag program;
note that eligibility is for students aged 18-24 who are US citizens or
permanent residents; German skills are a plus but not required at time
of application—apply by Dec. 1. University
of Michigan students have participated as undergrads, as grad students,
and after graduation!

Princeton-in-Asia
offers one-year placements throughout Asia, either for teaching English
or working in with Non-Governmental Organizations, media or
business.
d)
JET,
a Japanese government program, offers one-year (renewable) English
teaching assistantships throughout Japan– no knowledge of Japanese
required!
Application deadline is Friday, December 2nd.
