CIBER Undergraduate May Study Abroad Program in Costa Rica
Our program is based at the INCAE Business School near San Jose. Its focus is sustainable development, entrepreneurship, economic development, culture, teamwork, ecotourism, and how to do business in Latin America. Activities include company tours, white-water rafting, visiting an active volcano and nature hiking. In free time students typically visit local beaches or enjoy outdoor activities.
Attending our program is a unique experience for students to visit companies and learn from faculty who have first hand business experience. Students are able to ask questions and learn in a hands on environment.
We have amazing faculty from INCAE, particularly the CVs of Alberto Trejos, Esteban Brenes, Ana María Manajo, Lawrence Pratt. They have all served in high level government positions:
- Alberto Trejos: Chief Negotiator CAFTA, Costa Rica, President, CINDE (Foreign Direct Investment Agency), Costa Rica
- Esteben Brenes: Former Minister of Technology, Costa Rica, Former Minister of Agriculture, Costa Rica
- Lawrence Pratt: Director, Latin America Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development
- Ana María Manajo: Former Minister of Energy, Honduras

Program fee: $3,400 includes housing, group meals, company and cultural visits. This fee does not cover airfare, personal expenses, or meals on your own, or 3 credits winter term.
