INTERCULTURAL LEADERSHIP SEMINAR


February 27th – March 3rd, 2011 Michigania Retreat & Conference Center, Boyne City, Michigan

The University of Michigan’s 16th annual Intercultural Leadership Seminar (ILS) will be held during Spring Break 2012.  ILS is an interactive 6-day program intended to provide participants with a deeper understanding of how to lead and work more effectively in intercultural settings. The seminar is designed to deliberately address the attitudes, awareness, knowledge and skills which are central aspects to developing intercultural competence. ILS attracts participants from diverse cultures who are concerned with cross-cultural issues, and allows participants the unique opportunity to engage in intensive dialogue with others who share a commitment to intercultural competence.


Intercultural Leadership Seminar is open to UM-Ann Arbor undergraduate and graduate students free of charge - transportation, housing, and meals are all included.  Participants attend the session February 27 - March 3, 2011 at the Michigania Retreat & Conference Center on Walloon Lake in northern Michigan.

The Intercultural Leadership Seminar is sponsored by the International Center, the College of Engineering, the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, and the Division of Student Affairs.
