**The UMSN Spanish Language for Health Care Professionals program in Oaxaca, Mexico has now been approved by the U-M Spanish Department for transfer credit at the intermediate and advanced levels. This credit can be applied to requirements for the Spanish major or minor.
Spanish for Health Care Professionals in Oaxaca, Mexico
May 9 – June 21, 2014
Based at the Instituto Cultural de Oaxaca (ICO) in the beautiful old colonial city of Oaxaca (wah-HAH-kah), capital of the state of Oaxaca de Juárez in southern Mexico.
- 6 weeks of intensive language instruction
- Intermediate through advanced Spanish; approved for transfer credit by the U-M Spanish Department**
- Homestays with local families
- Volunteer placements with local hospitals, clinics and social service agencies
- Affordable program fee of $1800 [airfare not included]
- All undergraduates encouraged to apply
