Be Part of the Legacy: Undergraduate Student Coordinators Wanted

BE PART OF THE LEGACY

Last year, three students came together to plan an event which was unlike any other at UM. It was an opportunity for undergrad and graduate students to come together to engage in conversations about the past, present, and future of international service.

This year we are pleased to announce the second annual Student Symposium on Global Service and Engagement which will take place on
Wednesday, November 2nd, 7-10pm - Michigan Union, Ballroom

Last year’s event was “for students, by students” and we’re carrying on that tradition this year.  We are currently seeking two enthusiastic and involved undergraduate students  to assist School of Social Work graduate student, Gabrielle D’Angelo, in the planning of this event.

Undergraduate Coordinators can expect to gain:
  • Experience assisting with all aspects of a campus-wide event that could be attended by 200+ people
  • Public speaking experience, as UG Coordinators will be expected to act as emcees during the event
  • Opportunity to work closely with graduate students and staff from a variety of units at UM
  • Leadership skills, as this event truly is entirely student-run.
  • Networking opportunities with globally-engaged students from across the U-M campus.

Interested students should contact Gabrielle D’Angelo (gdangelo@umich.edu) by Friday, September 16th.
