Resources
Compiled by Bill Nolting,
International Center
Graduate
students report using multiple sources to create the contacts helpful for
arranging an international internship or research project. These include:
- Faculty
and advisors within your program, School or College
- Faculty
and advisors associated with University-wide units, such as the
International Institute and its Area Studies Centers.
- Fellow
students who have relevant experience—ask your department, check lists of
students who were awarded international fellowships, etc.
- Your
own contacts, especially if you have studied or worked abroad
Note that
many Schools and Colleges have their own Career Services and/or International
Offices for Graduate/Professional student services that may be able to provide
information specific to your graduate degree program—most of these are
represented on the International Career Pathways Committee. There are also University-wide offices that
can provide additional resources.

- International
Center (university-wide resource for student contacts, information,
internships, careers)

- William

- Graham
Institute (funding for projects with an environmental/sustainability
focus)
- Rackham
Fellowships Office (funding for grad students in Rackham-affiliated
Schools & Colleges)
