Internship
opportunities worldwide for U.S. students (U.S. citizens and international
students) majoring in technical fields; all internships are paid; internships
are 2-3 months in the summer (fall and long-term internships are also
available).
Application deadline: December 1, 2013.
Foreign language
skill requirements vary by position. Most positions only require English.
Placement programs
open to U.S. students in all fields (note: international students can only
apply to the program in Germany); internships are 2-3 months; mostly paid in
Germany, unpaid in Spain, Argentina, and Chile.
Application
deadlines: Dec 2, 2013 (Germany)
& Jan 31, 2014 (Spain, Argentina, Chile).
German or Spanish

Scholarship
Program for students with U.S. or Canadian citizenship to complete one- to
three-month internships with German state parliaments and ministries in early
summer 2014.
Application deadline: December 2, 2013, for early
summer 2014.

Fellowship Program for 12 students (U.S. citizens) to participate in
eight-week internships in Buenos Aires, Berlin, and Singapore, complemented by
a virtual learning seminar on sustainability issues. Fellowship covers
program-related travel expenses, accommodation, seminar.
Application deadline: February 7, 2014.
Prior knowledge of
language of host country (in Germany and Argentina only) required.
Full year, reciprocal
work-study scholarship program providing 75 U.S. students and young
professionals with an understanding of everyday life, education, and
professional training in Germany. Scholarship includes round-trip transatlantic
flight, university tuition, language training, living stipend, and
program-related travel costs in Germany. Current students, graduating seniors
and alumni ages 18-24 are eligible. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or
permanent residents.
Application deadline: December 1, 2013.
Prior knowledge of German
language helpful but not required.
