Minds Abroad Information Table
Friday, March 29th
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Michigan Union, Ground Floor Lobby

Minds Abroad will have an information table in the Union lobby from 11 – 3 PM on Friday March 29th to discuss our programs in Asia.  We offer a variety of programs, specifically in China, India, Vietnam and Thailand. Our programs incorporate a variety of components which can include immersive language classes, travel, rural homestays, internships, and extensive service learning.  Due to our volunteer service learning program we were recently selected as a “Top Ten Best Practices Program” by the Center for Citizen Diplomacy and the U.S. State Department.

Minds Abroad offers several types of programs for universities students:

Morning Class and Afternoon Activities Program (China) – This is a less structured program which does not include a travel component. The program incorporates morning Mandarin classes (new classes begin each Monday throughout the year) and afternoon volunteer, intern or language exchange placements.  A month of credit-bearing class (4 credits), afternoon volunteering or intern placement, room and board is $1592.  A full semester of the same program is only $4885

Volunteer Program (China or India) – Together with Impact Abroad, we offer free volunteer placements in the Fall, Winter and Spring (including in May).  This program is not operated in the summer (June, July).
Internship Program (China) - Through full or half day intern placement in various sectors students can learn about how industries are run differently in China.  A month of an internship program and room and board is $895.  A full semester of the internship program is only $1984, including room and board.
Study + Travel (ChinaIndiaThailand or Vietnam) – These study abroad programs incorporate morning classes, afternoon volunteering and weekend travel to sites of cultural and historic interest.
If you are interested in learning more about summer or semester opportunities in Asia please stop by our table on Friday!
