Take U-M Abroad: Win $1000 (apply by Dec. 20 for Winter Term funding)

The U-M Central Student Government wants to help you take Michigan with you when you go abroad!

Five $1000 scholarships are available to U-M students who conceive the most compelling proposals to share something quintessentially "Michigan" with their host country.

What creative way can you think of to ensure that, when you return from wherever you will be studying, interning, or conducting research, some part of the University of Michigan remains behind? How will you plant a seed that will flourish as a reminder of Michigan's excellence in academics, innovation, arts, research, or athletics? What Michigan traditions will thrive in other climates?

Imagine the child, not yet born, who will one day enroll at Michigan because you placed a stuffed wolverine in every crib of a neonatal unit, or because you painted "Go Blue!" on every generator you built and donated to a remote village, or because you helped set up a microloan program that got her mother's business started.

There are still people in this world who do not know how great it is to be a Michigan Wolverine.

How will you stamp your "M" on the globe?

  1. Well, that would be a great idea for students who want to study in Michigan. Surely after they finish their study they can find a good job. Thanks for sharing.
