Come and learn about study abroad in Korea, what it's like to live in Korea, the food, the weather, the culture and the many programs that major universities offer.

Come and learn about study abroad in Korea, what it's like to live in Korea, the food, the weather, the culture and the many programs that major universities offer.
Several of these university programs have partnerships with the University of Michigan--search using South Korea as Country in MCompass, https://mcompass. umich.edu/index.cfm? FuseAction=Programs. AdvancedSearch.
Credits are transferrable but need prior approval. No prior knowledge of Korean is required. Many classes are taught in English.

Accommodations and living in Seoul
• Seoul is one of the largest (12 million inhabitants) and most developed cities in Asia; it is also one of the safest cities.
• Harvard Summer Program, Ewha, Yonsei and Sogang are located near the Sinchon area, home to major universities; it is a dense urban environment.
• This Sinchon area is near many subway lines and is about 3 subway stops from the center of Seoul.
• Students live on campus at the various universities in dormitories.
• Please visit each school's website for details, most dormitories include a dining room, laundry facilities, small stores and a workout gyms.
• The entire Korean peninsula is about the size of Michigan and is similar in weather, although July has a monsoon (rainy) season and is humid.
• Korea is a hilly, mountainous country with spectacular seacoasts, ancient temples and palaces set amidst miles of high rise apartments and buildings.
• Korean food is known for being healthy and spicy, a vegetarian menu is available upon request at the dining facilities.
• Most programs offer field trips to visit major Korean sites.
Scholarships and Funding:
Each program has different funding programs. The Nam Center provides two full tuition waiver scholarships to Yonsei University and travel funding to Korea to other programs. This is based on a competitive application.
