TRAVEL IN ASIA (offered ONE TIME ONLY)

=======================================================================================

Travel in less-developed countries takes some planning, but the rewards are great.  Get expert advice from a UHS travel health clinician who joins us for this workshop!  NOTE for travelers to Asia – You may need immunizations & prescription medications – schedule an appointment online (preferably months before your trip) with the UHS Travel Clinic, http://www.uhs.umich.edu/services/travel/

International Center graduate peer advisors who have worked & traveled abroad extensively in these regions will pass along tips from their first-hand experience and provide special handouts.  A travel agent from STA Travel (in the Michigan Union, tel. 734.769.2555 or e-mail umi_agents@statravel.com) will provide information on student airfares and budget accommodations --and will conduct a drawing for one $100 coupon valid for STA flights.

Everyone traveling abroad should purchase the well-proven U-M Travel Abroad Health Insurance (Required for University-related travel; highly recommended for everything else – including leisure travel).  It costs only $1.25 per day (+$5 registration), provides outstanding coverage and access to top-quality health care by English-speaking clinicians.  See http://www.uhs.umich.edu/tai .  You may sign-up online while registering your travel in the University’s Travel Registry.  Questions?  Feel free to call 734-647-2299.
