UPCOMING DEADLINES for some major PAID TEACHING ENGLISH ABROAD

UPCOMING DEADLINES for some major PAID TEACHING ENGLISH ABROAD programs include:

·         PEACE CORPS (27-month commitment--apply ASAP to start by end of 2012): e-mail U-M’s PC advisors, peace.corps@umich.edu
·         December 15-May 28 (for early-January through late-July start-dates)Chilean Ministry of Education/English Opens Doors program – Various deadlines depending the duration of the program and start-date)
·         December 16CIEE Teach Immersion Dominican Republic (early- January start date)
·         January 15: France Teaching Assistant Program of the French EmbassyRead about one U-M alum’s experience here.
·         January 15: Fulbright Teach in Austria program

·         February 1Hellenic American Education Foundation (HAEF); year-long teaching program in Greece (September start-date)
·         February 1 and March 28 (two program options depending on level of teaching experience)CIEE Teach in Thailand (for May departure)
·         February 1CIEE Teach in Vietnam (for April/May departure; June 1st for August/Sep departure)
