Introduction to the Foreign Service Officer Selection Process and Test
Thursday, September 26, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Betty Ford Classroom, 1110 Weill Hall 
Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy

Diplomat in Residence Michelle Jones will review the path to a career as a Foreign Service Officer, and provide detailed information about each step in the process. Are you considering whether to take the Foreign Service Test? Trying to figure out the best time of year (October, February, or June) to do so? Curious about the format of the test, what subjects are covered, how to prepare, and test-taking strategies? If so, be sure to attend this session.

Internships with the U.S. Department of State
Tuesday, October 1, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

The U.S. Department of State offers over 1,000 summer internships at its embassies and missions throughout the world, at its headquarters in Washington, D.C., and at facilities in approximately 20 other cities throughout the United States. A panel of University of Michigan students will share their experiences as Department of State interns this past summer, and Diplomat in Residence Michelle Jones will review the application process for this exciting and challenging program. This program is part of the University of Michigan's International Career Pathways series and is open to all U-M students.
