IAESTE Internships - Program Overview
The IAESTE Internship Placement Program matches U.S. university students majoring in technical fields with paid internships abroad. Positions are available in industry, research institutes and universities, consulting firms, labs, and other work environments. Most placements are for 8-12 weeks during the summer, but fall and longer-term placements are also available. Best of all, most technical students in the United States are eligible to apply!The application for the 2014 program year has been extended!

Applicant Requirements
In order to apply for the IAESTE Placement Program, you must fulfill all of the eligibility conditions below.- Enrollment: U.S. citizens and International Students enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university in a full-time bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. program, before, during, and after the program. U.S. students studying abroad are eligible as long as they are still enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution.
- Standing: Applicants must have attained junior-level standing or above by the time the internship begins. Sophomores and graduating seniors may also apply. Recent graduates are not eligible.
- Major: Applicants must be enrolled in a technical field of study, including, but not limited to engineering, computer science, architecture, natural and physical sciences, or agricultural sciences.
- Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 19 and 30.
- Language: Applicants must be fluent in English. Foreign language skill requirements vary by position. While most positions only require English, foreign language skills are preferred.

Deadlines RIGHT after Thanksgiving | Cultural Vistas Internship Programs
Please read this email from Peggy Wunderwald-Jensen, the Cultural Vistas Midwest Representative, if you are
applying to internship programs in Germany 2014 or to the IAESTE International
Internship Program 2014.
The application deadlines for the Summer
Internship Program in Germany (Dec 2), Congress-Bundestag
Youth Exchange in Germany (Dec 1), EMGIP
Germany (Dec 1) and IAESTE
International (Dec 1) are coming up on Sunday and Monday after
Thanksgiving. Please make sure that you submit your online application in time.
Keep in mind that technical problems can always occur, so don't wait until the
last minute!
I know that many of you are already
working on the application. If you have not started yet, you should do that
NOW, because all applications require documents that you need to get from
somewhere/someone else (e.g. official transcript, recommendation letter(s), certificate
of enrollments, etc. – please check the application list for each program for
details).

The student application for the International Association for the
Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is now available
online.
The IAESTE Internship Placement Program is a work abroad program that matches U.S. university students majoring in technical fields with paid internships around the world. Each year positions are available in approximately 15-20 different countries in industry, research institutes and universities, consulting firms, labs, and other work environments. Most placements are for 8-12 weeks during the summer, but some fall semester and longer-term placements are also available. Best of all, most technical students in the United States are eligible to apply!
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
-Enrollment: you must be currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program at an accredited, four-year U.S. college or university
-Standing: junior-level standing is preferred, sophomores and graduating seniors are also invited to apply.
-Major: you must be enrolled in a technical field of study, including, but not limited to: engineering, computer science, architecture, natural or physical sciences
-Age: you must be between the ages of 19 and 30
-Language: you must be fluent in English; foreign language skill requirements vary by position

Internship opportunities worldwide for U.S. students (U.S. citizens and international students) majoring in technical fields; all internships are paid; internships are 2-3 months in the summer (fall and long-term internships are also available).
Application deadline: December 1, 2012
Foreign language skill requirements vary by position.
Placement programs open to U.S. students in all fields (note: international students can only apply to the program in Germany); internships are 2-3 months; mostly paid in Germany, unpaid in Spain, Argentina and Chile.

German or Spanish language skills required.
Internship opportunities for students with U.S. or Canadian citizenship to complete one- to three-month internships with German state parliaments and ministries in early summer, or fall 2013.

Three-month (June-August) work-study immersion program for college students in vocational fields; fellowship covers language course costs, international flight and provides a monthly stipend of Euro 300. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

At least one semester of German instruction required.
The inaugural class of (12) Cultural Vistas Fellows will participate in eight-week internships in Buenos Aires, Berlin, and Singapore, complemented by a virtual learning seminar on sustainability issues. Fellowship covers program-related travel expenses, accommodation, seminar. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

IAESTE - Open Internship Positions - Apply by March 30th
Once again we have new open positions available in IAESTE. The positions are located in Cyprus (Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry), Brazil (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering), Slovakia (IT – Programming), Serbia (Biology), Croatia (Computer Science – Software Design), Israel (Chemistry/Chemical Engineering) and Switzerland (Geophysics/Physics).
