Undergraduate FLAS Funding STILL available for Quechua & Portuguese - Apply by April 30th

Undergraduate Summer FLAS

LACS is re-opening the Undergraduate Summer 2012 Foreign Languages and Area Studies (FLAS) competition for Quechua and Portuguese. Eligible undergraduate students must be studying the language at the intermediate level (2nd year) or above. Applicants must be US citizens or US permanent residents. Students who are graduating in Winter or August 2012 are not eligible to apply. Summer FLAS Fellowships enable students to participate in a summer intensive language program to study a less-commonly taught language. These intensive language programs must teach the equivalent of a full academic year (fall and winter terms) language class at the University of Michigan. Students may attend an approved intensive language program located in the US or outside of the US. The Fellowships provide tuition and required fees up to US$5,000 and a stipend of $2,500.
