Presidential Scholarship Program (to Cairo, Egypt)


The American University in Cairo holds an annual scholarship program to study at their school called the Presidential Scholars Program.  The program is a one year fellowship for recent graduates from American undergraduate colleges and universities that combines work experience at an international university with the opportunity to learn Arabic and experience life in Cairo – the bustling, vibrant center of Middle Eastern culture.
Scholars are placed in key offices throughout the University’s administration and in the Desert Development Center, a non-profit research center dedicated to sustainable land development.
No prior experience in Arabic is required for the program, and students with little or no experience in the Middle East are especially encouraged to apply. The application for the coming year is due January 31, 2012 and applicants will be reviewed and short-listed by early March with final notifications sent by mid-March.
