CGIS/A&D Joint Program: Study Art History or Art & Design in Paris



EXPLORE ARTS IN PARIS WINTER 2012


Arts in Paris is a unique international study opportunity jointly sponsored by the Center for Global and Intercultural Study (CGIS) and the School of Art & Design (A&D). The program promises students in-depth exposure to Parisian life through home stays with local families, French language instruction, site visits, and Paris-specific courses taught by U-M Art & Design and History of Art faculty.

DATES: February 14, 2012-June 16, 2012

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 15, 2011

ELIGIBILITY: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing | Minimum 3.0 GPA | No previous knowledge of French language required | No previous course work in Art History or Art & Design required

COURSES AND CREDITS: All students take a French language course at their language level (6 credits), and the program core course, Paris By Site (3 credits). Students will also choose two or three additional 3-credit content courses in History of Art and/or Art & Design from the semester offerings for a total of 15 or 18 Michigan credits per term.
